About the Event

WTT Grand Smashes form the foundation of the WTT Series and the Singapore Smash will become the first of the four new pillars of professional table tennis.

Spectators can expect a star-studded line-up and tantalising clashes at Singapore Smash 2022, with Olympic and world championship medallists to compete in Singapore. Men's world No. 1 Fan Zhendong and women's world No. 1 Sun Yingsha, Olympic champions Chen Meng and Ma Long, as well as Japanese star Tomokazu Harimoto are among the athletes who will do battle at OCBC Arena. 

Singapore fans can also watch their favourite local players in action, led by women's world No. 9 Feng Tianwei and Lin Ye. A host of Singapore stars will also be announced shortly through the wildcard entry process. Fans can visit www.worldtabletennis.com to see the full player entry lists for all competitions. 

Fans will be treated to two weeks of exciting knockout elimination table tennis action with singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions, as players compete for US$2,000,000 in prize money, the biggest prize purse at an officially sanctioned table tennis event. The tournament features the 128 men’s and women’s singles players, along with 24-pair doubles draws and 16-pair mixed doubles draws. The singles champions will depart Singapore with US$100,000 and 2000 ITTF Table Tennis World Ranking Points.

All spectators to Singapore Smash 2022 are to abide by the necessary Safe Management Measures. Spectators attending Singapore Smash must be fully vaccinated and submit a negative self-administered ART test result before entry into OCBC Arena. 

Individuals who are either (1) recovered from a COVID-19 infection within the past 180 days regardless of vaccination status, (2) medically ineligible for COVID-19 vaccination, (3) unvaccinated children aged 12 and below, can attend the event, and will also have to submit a negative self-administered ART test result before entry into OCBC Arena.
