Popular MetaSprint Series Duathlon returns as participants prepare for next month's Singapore T100 Races.

Over 1,000 participants turn up for MetaSport's marquee event at Singapore's East Coast Park, dismissing suggestions of lack of demand for mass participation sports post Covid-19.

The thrill of racing is back. Love the challenge and excitement of racing. 12.8km, 6km, Double or Team of 4. After five months of preparation, Run As One Singapore was the first sports event organised in Singapore since the pandemic started, and the first to use the MyRaceGate technology.

890 participants took part in the Duathlon Origin MetaSprint Series event on Saturday, 24 April 2021. A new format of racing in which participants who flagged off via a rolling start across 4 bubbles over the course of the day, and a heavy downpour in the morning did not dampen spirits. This is the second of three events that make up the Metasprint series organised by Metasport, the first being the Aquathlon that took place on 27 March in Sentosa and saw 1,000 sign-ups, and the last of the 3 events coming soon being the Triathlon.

Gear up for a race in Singapore's lush green. Choose one of the four designated 10km routes, pick your running buddy and choose your start time. The Green Dot Challenge Equaliser evaluates and corrects all participants’ times to the equivalent time of a flat 10km around a running track. Concretely this is how it will look:

Metasport introduces this new night event to bring together the best of sports and green technology in reaching out to the Millennials and Gen Z audience. Participants will be able to use ‘MyRaceGate’ app for directional and motivational messaging and to help measure their carbon footprint. Spotify playlists will be curated through partnerships with a radio station, DJ or nightclub. Participants may run or walk; and with the social element being more important than the competition.
