In this exclusive series, SportPlus.sg goes behind the scenes to chat with 100PLUS athletes across various sports and fitness genres to discuss why recovery is important and their experience with the new 100PLUS PRO High Protein.

What is the importance of recovery work for athletes?

Cheryl: Recovery is as important as training especially for athletes who are trying to constantly improve on their performance.

The lack of recovery or the lack of attention on recovery routine is going to lead to a lot of things like lack of motivation lack of sleep because you just don't get quality sleep and of course a higher risk of injury and everything feels not as enjoyable anymore.

Where does 100PLUS PRO High Protein sit in your recovery regime? Do you take it during competition or training?

Cheryl: 100PLUS PRO, it’s actually good for during competition, during training.

How does 100PLUS PRO High Protein taste like and how convenient is it in terms of preparation?

Cheryl: It's a good and convenient beverage to fuel your performance. And in terms of training or competition as I mentioned before is a little sweet for me but I think that's the whole point of it. You need a little bit of sugar to help fuel your performance.

What's the favourite thing about 100PLUS PRO for you and how does it compare to other 100PLUS drinks?

Cheryl: This is a completely new 100PLUS drink. Usually it's just known for electrolytes and now they've come up with this with protein, with the B vitamins and some sugar, it helps definitely in terms of muscle recovery for sure.

And I really like the convenience of it because don’t have to make a shake right away.
