14 October 2021, Singapore - In celebration of its fourth anniversary this month, the adidas Runners community is looking to invoke nostalgia by taking inspiration from the brand’s famous running event in the early 2010s ‘King of the Road’ for this year's celebratory event.
"KING OF THE HOODS" (KOTH) is a free virtual event that aims to celebrate the community’s journey over the past four years while uniting people in Singapore around the shared love of sport, regardless of whether they are an Eastie, Westie, North-sider or South-sider.

It will feature Singapore’s most-loved running routes submitted by participants on the adidas’ Social Media channels for the general public to eventually discover these #SGRROTW (Singapore’s Running Route of the Week) for themselves.
What started off as a small running group of 10 to 12 runners in 2017 at Marina Bay Sands has grown to become one of Singapore's leading urban running communities.

For this year's virtual event, 200 participants will stand a chance to win a limited edition KING OF THE HOODS t-shirt, while participants from the zonal champion will win a limited edition KING OF THE HOODS medal.

adidas will be sharing a Rep Your Hood leader board every two days, for runners to keep track of the leading hoods and potentially rally their running buddies in their hoods to clock as many miles as possible during the challenge period.
200 winners from the four zones will stand a chance to win an exclusive adidas Runners KOTH T-Shirt. In addition, the zone with the most distance clocked during the week-long event will be crowned KOTH Zonal Champions and participants from the zone will win the limited edition KOTH medal on top of the t-shirt.
