Crowd Favourite The Music Run Returns at Singapore T100 Triathlon Weekend

SINGAPORE, 17 FEBRUARY 2025 – Get ready to experience a high-octane festival-like atmosphere once again at the April 5-6 Singapore T100 Triathlon weekend with the return of the popular The Music Run, a 5km fun run at 7.30pm on Saturday (5 April) that will start and finish at the iconic Singapore Grand Prix racetrack as runners get energised by lively tunes. 


Lined by speakers blasting popular and high-tempo music, the route will take in views of picturesque landmarks in the Marina Bay district, including the renowned Singapore Flyer, and the night lights of the city as participants run, walk, or even dance their way to the finish line. 


After the run, event-goers can unwind under the dazzling lights at the Music Village Stage, where renowned local and international artistes and DJs will lead the after-party and give everyone a night to remember at an exciting festival-for-all.

Participants who wish to immerse themselves in the bustling Singapore T100 Triathlon atmosphere earlier can visit the event expo earlier in the day at the F1 Pit Building and catch the Women’s Pro race as the world’s best female triathletes tackle the iconic 100km triathlon distance (2km swim, 80km cycle, 18km run).

The Music Run has been a mainstay at the Singapore T100 Triathlon since its first edition in the Lion City in 2023, when it was known as the PTO Asian Open, with around 4,000 runners taking part in the fun run each year.

Besides The Music Run, fitness enthusiasts can also join in the fun in three other categories – the 100km triathlon, the Standard Duathlon (5km run, 32km cycle, 5km run) and the Long Duathlon (9.5km run, 64km cycle, 9.5km run) - but they need to be quick as places have sold quickly. Participants can also form teams of two or three to tackle the triathlon and duathlons in a relay format, ensuring there’s something suitable  for people of different fitness levels. Sports fans who simply wish to spectate are also in for a treat, with the Women’s and Men’s Pro races taking place during the afternoons of April 5 and 6 respectively, to signal the start of the 2025 T100 Triathlon World Tour series. 2024 men’s overall T100 world champion Marten Van Riel has confirmed his participation in Singapore, marking the first time the Belgian will be racing in Marina Bay. 


Following the recent announcement of a five-year partnership with Visit Qatar, the season-long series will also be known as the T100 Race to Qatar and feature nine events, including: the return to Singapore on 5-6 April as well as San Francisco (31 May-1 June), Vancouver (13-15 June), France (27-29 June), London (9-10 August), Spain, Lake Las Vegas, Dubai (15-16 November) and then the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final (12-13 December).
