PUMA NITRO Run Club launches on 22 March, bringing together over 150 runners for a training session led by Coach Jacky Ong and PUMA athletes Vanessa Lee, Shaun Goh, and Ben Khoo

Singapore, 21 March 2025 - First launched in 2023, PUMA NITRO Run Club is now shifting its focus towards quality, race-specific training, offering three specialised programmes for runners targeting Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5/10km races.
The Run Club, which will operate on Tuesday evenings and on one Saturday a month, is offering free, structured, performance-focused run club designed for runners who desire more than just casual running and want to achieve their personal best.

The announcement came as part of a bigger release by the global sportswear giant, which kicked off its 2025 campaign with the release of the ‘Go Wild’ hero film, a tribute to runners unlocking the runner’s high – a rush of happy chemicals released during physical activity - aligning with a positive audience response in this space and rooted in the belief that running is at its best when you chase the runner’s high.

The ‘Go Wild’ film moves away from featuring athletes and celebrities – and instead celebrates the everyday runner, including the early-rising runners, a runner with their dog, a new mum, or running as a community – all of them making choices staying true to themselves chasing the high of a run.

Unleashing Greatness in Singapore
Bringing the ‘Go Wild’ vision to life in Singapore, PUMA is investing in the next generation of runners with the signings of top tier distance athletes earlier this year, as well as through a rebrand of its PUMA NITRO Run Club, offering structured training programmes and access to top-tier athletes to help everyday runners reach their full potential.

Led by Head Coach Jacky Ong, training sessions will be self-paced based on individual targets, with weekly sessions on Tuesdays and a Saturday morning session once a month. The club’s progressive, structured format allows runners to refine their technique, build endurance, and compete at higher levels.

“The rebranded PUMA NITRO Run Club is an exciting step for Singapore’s running scene. We want to create an ecosystem where serious runners have access to structured training, top-tier coaching, and a support system that helps them accomplish their personal sporting goals,” said Eleanor Wang, PUMA's Marketing Director for Southeast Asia.

To mark this rebrand, PUMA will officially launch the PUMA NITRO Run Club on 22 March, bringing together over 150 runners for a training session led by Coach Jacky Ong and PUMA athletes Lee, Goh, and Khoo.

These national record holders will also play a role in the club, providing mentorship and insights to help serious runners reach their goals and support the development of future sporting talents for the nation.

While performance remains the core focus, PUMA is also committed to engaging the broader running community by collaborating with social run clubs through various inclusive, community-driven initiatives.
