Singapore’s largest and most anticipated race is returning, and we’re kicking things off in an exciting way that will bring the running community together like never before.

With the official launch of registrations for the 2025 Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (SCSM) just around the corner on 16 April 2025, we are teaming up with key local running communities for an exhilirating pre-launch activation training run series.

This initiative is all about rallying the running community and building the buzz leading up to the official registration period.

We’re inviting runners of all levels to take part in a series of fun, community-driven training runs that celebrate the sport, the camaraderie of fellow runners, and the passion that makes Singapore’s running scene one of the best in the world.

Join the Movement to Go Beyond

The concept is simple: we’re calling on all local runners to turn up at designated activation sites, decked out in blue, green, or a combination of both, to showcase their love for the sport and their commitment to joining the biggest race of the year.

Whether you're an experienced marathoner or someone gearing up for your first big race, this initiative is for you. And here’s the exciting part – by simply showing up and taking part, you could win a free race slot for the 2025 Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon in any race category. That’s right, free entry to one of the most iconic marathon events in the region!

This is more than just a chance to win; it’s an opportunity to be part of something bigger. It's a celebration of the Singapore running culture, a chance to connect with like-minded runners, and an opportunity to showcase the unity and spirit of our local running community.

Uniting the Community: The Running Clubs and the Activation Dates

In the spirit of togetherness, we’re partnering with some of Singapore’s most popular and vibrant running communities — The High Panters, Happy Pace Club, Running Department, and That Run Club. These groups are known for their dedication, their energy, and the sense of belonging they create among their members and a good representation between new and experienced runners across different generations.

They’re coming together to bring this exciting activation series to life and encourage runners to get involved in the lead-up to the marathon registration launch.

Why This Activation Matters

Singapore’s running culture is growing stronger each year, and this activation is designed to highlight the joy and sense of community that come with being part of it. By dressing in blue and green, participants aren’t just showing up for a chance to win; they’re representing their shared love for the sport and their connection to fellow runners.

This initiative also creates a unique opportunity to unite various running groups, creating a sense of healthy competition and fun that will carry through to the marathon itself. It’s a fantastic way to give the running community something to look forward to and help build anticipation for the upcoming marathon.

As we prepare for the digital launch of race registrations, this activation serves as a reminder of how important the running community is to the success of the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon. The excitement, the energy, and the spirit that these activations foster will only continue to grow as we approach race day.
