SINGAPORE, 26 September 2026 — World-class professional cycling returns to Southeast Asia this November, as cycling’s brightest young superstars Isaac del Toro and Paul Seixas prepare to headline the fifth edition of the Tour de France EFGH Singapore Criterium on Sunday, 8 November 2026.
Racing against the backdrop of Marina Bay and the historic Padang, the duo will be joined by elite sprint powerhouses Jasper Philipsen and Biniam Girmay in what promises to be one of the marquee sporting spectacles on Singapore’s international sports calendar.
Supported by the Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O) and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), the event remains the only official Tour de France cycling race in Southeast Asia, offering regional fans an exclusive look at the elite peloton up close.
Cycling’s Next Great Rivalry Takes Centre Stage
The 2026 edition puts cycling's next generation in the spotlight. Both Del Toro and Seixas arrive in Singapore following sensational Grand Tour campaigns that announced their arrival at the pinnacle of road racing.
Del Toro, 22, cemented his status as a general classification contender after finishing third overall at the 2026 Tour de France and capturing the coveted White Jersey (Best Young Rider). His meteoric ascent began at the 2025 Giro d’Italia, where the Mexican sensation took second overall and the young rider classification on his Grand Tour debut.
Facing him is French prodigy Paul Seixas. At just 19 years old, Seixas became France’s youngest Tour debutant in 89 years, producing a historic fourth-place general classification finish. His performance stands among the finest by a French rider since Bernard Hinault’s fifth and final victory in 1985.
The emerging rivalry reached boiling point earlier this month at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal, where Del Toro narrowly edged Seixas in a ferocious sprint finish. Singapore will serve as the next testing ground in their burgeoning duel.

Heavyweight Sprint Showdown at the Padang
Speed merchants will also light up the streets, with green jersey rivals Jasper Philipsen and Biniam Girmay renewing hostilities around the Padang circuit.
Philipsen and Girmay finished second and third respectively in the 2026 Tour de France points classification. Philipsen’s daring Stage 17 breakaway triumph in the Alpine foothills kept the points race alive late into the third week, setting the stage for a dramatic showdown in downtown Singapore. Both sprinters will be out for redemption after Italian speedster Jonathan Milan took top honours at the 2025 Singapore Criterium.
