Eala has rapidly become one of the most compelling figures on the global tour following an unforgettable campaign in August 2026 at the Mubadala DC Open. In Washington, D.C., she staged an emphatic comeback against top seed and World No. 3 Jessica Pegula—rebounding to win 4–6, 6–4, 6–0. With that triumph, Eala became the first player from the Philippines to capture a WTA Tour-level singles title.
