Singapore’s scenic coastline came alive over the weekend as the TRIFACTOR Asian Championship 2026 hosted over 2,000 athletes representing 47 nations at East Coast Park. Serving as the prestigious grand finale for the 2025/2026 TRIFACTOR Asia season, the event solidified its standing as one of the largest, most competitive, and internationally diverse multi-sport showcases in the circuit's history.
Elite and age-group competitors converged on the shoreline after qualifying through regional rounds across Asia, delivering thrilling action across swim, bike, and run legs.
Mateo Reddy Smashes Men's Course Record
In the Men’s Elite Standard Distance race, Switzerland’s Mateo Reddy delivered a masterclass performance, capturing the title and setting a new course record with a blazing time of 1 hour, 54 minutes, and 8 seconds.
Reddy was pushed to the limit by a formidable contingent from the Philippines. Irienold Reig Jr claimed second place with a time of 1:57:14, followed closely by compatriot Matthew Justine Hermosa, who rounded out the podium in 1:59:02.

Emily Sambrook Smith Triumphs in Women’s Elite Race
The Women’s Elite Standard Distance division saw Great Britain’s Emily Sambrook Smith dictate the pace to claim the championship crown in 2:11:20.
Malaysian national athlete Cindy Sui secured a commendable runner-up finish in 2:14:57, while the Philippines added another podium to their weekend haul with Sam Corpuz crossing the line in 2:20:41 to capture third.
Inclusive Racing and Community Spirit
Beyond the elite division, East Coast Park buzzed with mass-participation camaraderie. Waves ranged from the competitive Standard Distance age-groupers to newcomers tackling the Freshmen Distance, costumed relay teams, and aspiring multi-sport stars in the TRIFACTOR Kids race.
Finishing athletes recharged at a dedicated Recovery Zone powered by Rokeby Protein, supported by event partners including Starbalm, Yeo’s, and LevelUP.
Highlighting the event's evolution, Joseph Tan, Race Director and Co-Founder of TRIFACTOR, emphasized the expanding global footprint:
"This year’s edition saw a significant increase in international participation. We’re working closely with local triathlon clubs to raise the level of competition and help our local athletes reach regional and global standards."

Global Expansion: World Championship Returns to Quzhou
The success in Singapore lays the groundwork for TRIFACTOR’s upcoming global stops. Co-Founder Elvin Ting revealed major milestones on the horizon, including the revival of the TRIFACTOR World Championship in Quzhou, China, this October—marking its comeback after a six-year hiatus.
The circuit will also expand into new territories with the inaugural TRIFACTOR Taiwan in Tainan on 15–16 November, driven by strong regional partnerships.
As endurance sports continue their post-pandemic surge across the region, Singapore firmly anchors the TRIFACTOR Asia Tour as a premier hub for community, wellness, and high-performance racing.
