21.1km Half Marathon Route: Course Walkthrough & Tactical Breakdown

The Half Marathon course is designed as an ultra-fast, scenic coastal route connecting the city basin to the East Coast Park corridor.

1. The Opening Surge: KM 1 to KM 5 (Marina South to Helix Bridge)
The race flags off directly outside Marina Barrage, looping along Marina South before heading north across the Marina Bay waterfront. Runners will cross over the Helix Bridge near the 3km mark, taking in views of the skyline before hitting the first hydration point at AS 1 (2.5 km).

2. The City Link: KM 5 to KM 10 (Kallang Basin & Tanjong Rhu)
Past the 4km mark, the route runs adjacent to Nicoll Highway and navigates the loop along the Kallang Basin and the National Stadium perimeter. Expect smooth tarmac and wide turns as you pass AS 2 (6.0 km) and AS 3 (7.8 km). A scenic loop around Tanjong Rhu Promenade then funnels runners across the connector toward East Coast Park.

Entering East Coast Park at KM 11, runners will settle into their aerobic cruise pace along flat park connector pavements. Bananas and hydration will be available at AS 4 (11.6 km). The easternmost turnaround point sits just after AS 5 (14.3 km), where runners double back westward towards the city, passing AS 6 (16.2 km) and AS 7 (17.2 km).

4. The Final Stretch: KM 18 to Finish (Marina East back to Barrage)
Exiting ECP at KM 18, the home stretch takes runners along the Marina East perimeter. After topping up at AS 8 (20.0 km), you will make the final push across the waterfront toward the roaring finish line arch at Marina Barrage.
