East Coast Park gets the sea breeze and the postcard views, but when eastside runners want a lap they can actually measure, they head inland to Bedok Stadium. Tucked into the estate off Bedok North, it is an eight-lane public track with a pitch in the middle and a fitness corner on the side, and it keeps longer hours than most people realise.
Whether you are building towards your first 10K, sharpening your IPPT 2.4 km, or want a strength and conditioning circuit with your run, here is your guide to Bedok Stadium.

Training at Bedok Stadium: Sessions That Work
1. The Run-and-Strength Circuit
- The Session: Run 800 m, then do a round at the fitness corner (pull-ups, dips, step-ups). Repeat four to six times.
- Best For: HYROX athletes and anyone who wants their running and strength work in one place.
2. The IPPT 2.4 km
- The Session: Six laps of a standard 400 m track. Warm up with two easy laps, then run it as an honest time trial.
- The Tip: Pace the first lap with your watch, not your adrenaline. The second half of the run decides your score.
3. The Progression Run
- The Session: 20 to 30 minutes of continuous laps, getting a little faster every five minutes.
- The Experience: A track takes out traffic lights and hills, so every kilometre is a fair test of fitness.
Practical Runner's Tips
- Go Early or Late: The track is open from 4.30am to 9.30pm, so you can avoid the midday heat entirely.
- Track Etiquette: ActiveSG's rules ask runners to go anticlockwise and overtake on the right. When field training is on, keep out of lanes 1 to 4.
- Watch for Matches: Singapore Premier League 2 fixtures are played here during the season, so expect the stadium to be busy on those evenings.
- Weather Calls: In lightning or thunder, everyone has to leave open areas.
Getting There & Transit Logistics
- By MRT: Bedok (EW5) is about 750 m from the stadium as the crow flies. Bedok Reservoir (DT30) is about 900 m away.
- By Bus: The stops on Bedok North Road (84311 and 84319) are served by 17 and 45. The stops on Bedok North Avenue 1 add 60, 87 and 137.
